Service agreement
Terms and Conditions
By scheduling service or allowing work to begin, the customer agrees to this service agreement.
“The Company,” “Wonkeeland,” “Wonkeeland Appliance Repair,” and “Wonkeeland Appliance Repair LLC” refer to the same service provider. “Customer” refers to the person or entity receiving service.
Payment terms
The $89 first-appliance diagnostic fee is separate, non-refundable, and not waived with repair. Additional appliances diagnosed during the same trip are $45 each. Most repairs use a $90 one-hour labor minimum; parts, sales tax, and any additional quoted labor are separate. Payment is due as stated on the invoice or service authorization. Past-due balances may accrue interest at 24% APR, and returned or declined payments may incur a $30 fee. The customer is responsible for agreed collection costs where permitted by law.
Scheduling and cancellation
Appointment times are arrival windows rather than exact-time guarantees. A prior repair or route condition may occasionally delay arrival. Wonkeeland requests at least 24 hours’ notice for customer-requested cancellation or rescheduling. Wonkeeland currently lists no standard cancellation fee but reserves the right to restrict future online booking after a qualifying no-show or repeated scheduling abuse.
Right to decline repair
Wonkeeland may determine that an appliance should not be repaired because of age, unavailable parts, excessive damage, unsafe conditions, access limitations, or repair cost compared with replacement. When repair is declined after diagnosis, the diagnostic fee remains due. Wonkeeland is not responsible for appliance disposal or replacement.
Moving appliances and access
Moving an appliance creates risk of damage to flooring, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, the appliance, and surrounding property. The technician is not required to move an appliance or perform work that cannot be accessed safely. If the customer requests or permits movement, the customer accepts the ordinary inherent risks except where prohibited by law. Stacked units and other work requiring two people must be made safely accessible by the customer unless a different written arrangement is made.
Water, cooling, and property risks
Plumbed appliances carry inherent risks of leakage or flooding. Refrigeration equipment may fail without warning and can cause food loss, inconvenience, or business loss. Except for liability that cannot legally be waived, Wonkeeland is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses caused by the appliance, original plumbing or tubing, a later component failure, or conditions outside the specific repair.
Glass and ceramic cooktops
Lifting an adhered glass or ceramic cooktop to access internal components carries a risk of breakage. The customer acknowledges that careful removal may still be impossible without damage and accepts this inherent risk when authorizing access.
Installation and site conditions
Unless specifically agreed in writing, Wonkeeland does not install, modify, certify, or correct building electrical supply, water supply, drainage, gas supply, dryer venting, cabinetry, or ventilation. The customer is responsible for safe, code-compliant site conditions and access. If service cannot proceed because required conditions have not been met, the diagnostic or applicable service charge remains due.
Diagnostic limitations
A diagnosis is based on observations and testing during the service visit. Appliance electronics and intermittent failures may prevent every related fault from being visible at once. One component failure may contribute to or reveal another failure. The diagnostic identifies the most likely immediate fault and does not guarantee that unrelated or secondary components will not later fail.
Customer-supplied parts
Wonkeeland may install a customer-supplied part when appropriate but provides no parts warranty, diagnosis guarantee, or refund on that component. A separate return trip has a new labor minimum.
Warranty
Repairs where Wonkeeland supplied the diagnosis, part, and labor generally receive a one-year limited warranty on the specific supplied part and associated labor. Sealed-system labor is limited to 90 days. LG linear-compressor work, customer-supplied parts, consumables, used parts, external causes, misuse, unrelated failures, and other listed exclusions are not covered. The complete Warranty Policy is incorporated into this agreement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Wonkeeland is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including food loss, loss of use, inconvenience, property damage caused by the appliance itself, or lost revenue. Wonkeeland’s total liability for a claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to that claim.
Communications and electronic records
The customer may receive calls, emails, and consented transactional texts about the appointment, arrival, invoice, repair, or warranty. Electronic acceptance, booking records, invoices, and message confirmations may be retained as business records. Reply STOP to opt out of transactional texts.
Governing law
The agreement is governed by the law of the state where service is performed. Any dispute is subject to the courts with jurisdiction in that state unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes
Wonkeeland may update these terms for future services. The version accepted at booking or service authorization applies to that appointment unless both parties agree otherwise.
